Hey there ,
I'm very sorry indeed that you did not get a copy of the Al book earlier . I sent Steve Chapman a stack to distribute to the LA folks but it's clear that one did not find its way to you . I'm very sorry . My fault I'm sure .
That month that we spent in the snow and ice of Holland in early '96 remains one of the happiest Al tours that I have been on and on that basis alone I should have made certain that you got a copy of the book .I do , as a matter of course , send out your web site details with the information packs that go to all new Al fans by the way !
I hope that you liked the book ,
all best wishes and a beleted HAPPY BIRTHDAY ,

My wife and I just returned from a show at the Creole Gallery here in Lansing, Michigan. We sat right in front of the stage and were thoroughly blown away. I've played guitar for 38 years and I must say I'm in awe of Mr. Juber. I had a chance to chat briefly while getting my CD autographed and mentioned that I was going home to smash my '74 Martin D18. He just smiled and said "don't do that." What a delightful show. The couple sitting next to us drove 6 hours and we would definitely do the same. Despite my comment about smashing my guitar (would never do that), I'm inspired all the more by Laurence's music to be a better guitarist. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Hi!
Just returned home after a Saturday and Sunday Beatlefest in Danvers, MA.
Laurence was great! I hope this means he will return
to more Beatlefests in the future.
If I may put in a song request--I am sure I'm not the only one who would love to hear Laurence play "Helter Skelter" (a very rarely played song at Beatlefest*, even the soundalike contest contestants don't touch it.!)
*Oops, I mean-The Fest For Beatles Fans. But we won't go there....
Cheers,
Carol

I just saw Laurnece at the Boston area Beatlefest. Great performance! I've been to many Beatle conventions over the years and the highlight for me has always the times when Laurence played with Liverpool. Thanks for doing these shows. It's incredible to see such an amazing talent in such a small venue!

Hi, Laurence!
I just wanted to let you know what a great pleasure it was to see, hear, and talk to you at the Beatle Fest this weekend. Thank you for the joy that you brought to both my husband and me. Upon getting home last night, I immediately put on your CD -- The Collection. What a wonderful CD it is! That, and the LJ Plays the Beatles will always remind me of your kindness when we spoke and your gentle ways.
Thanks again and best wishes,
Eva :-)
PS -- I took some great pictures of you and would be happy to e-mail you copies.

Hi Laurence,
I am purchasing a Ryan guitar and was wondering how you like yours. I have secured the Brazilian back that is from the same tree as yours. Are you pleased with it?
I appreciate any feedback that you might wish to provide.
Thanks,

Lj-Have been performing 6 of your originals at local coffehouses and have gotten some interesting responses to "Pass the Buck". I had to re-assure some customers that I stole it from you. Wow,wow, wow, wow,WOW!!!! I went up to the Orinda Library Theatre to hear you play after having heard you on KFog with Greg Kihn interview. What an amazingly, AWESOME experience!! You really know how to work that instrument!! So sweet, so emotional, so technical(!). Every song was different, every song sounded like its title and one could envision a scene with people! The Jig Is Up sounded Irish and I could see Irishmen kicking up their heels....the Yukon goldiggers train ride song made me envision a riding on a steam locomotive, having a really rough life,in rough country,in the 1800's(!). Wow! You are really creative and talented! It was a very special treat for me!!! Lifted me out of the doldrums...Thanks!

i've always been a fan of "shredding" music and metal and rock and the like, so i would seem like the wrong kind of person to like acoustic fingerstyle instrumentals. however, a few years ago, my guitar teacher gave me a cd of fingerstyle solos, and the first song on it was bobs your uncle by LJ. it totally blew me away with the incredible speed and dexterity and just pure beauty of the song. LJ is the man!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Laurence,
While folding laundry tonight, I popped in "The Collection". I hadn't listened to your CDs lately and it was really good to hear it. Thanks for the great music.
I also called a guy today about hooking up music to our "hold" button at the shop. I'd like to play Collings guitar music to folks on hold. I may call James to see if he has any CDs available so I don't have to risk taking mine in (I may never see them again).
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and hope all your girls are doing well.

It has been a long time. We met in Vancouver about 7 ears ago at one of your Taylor Guitars workshops. We actually bumbed into each other in a small coffee shop across the street (Granville) and then met afterwards as well. Your wife was travelling with you so I had the honor of meeting her as well. I worked on your songs for a couple of years before being drawn East to India in what turned out to be a five year journey learning the sarod with a master Amjad Ali Khan..
I am living in LA now working on music for films, performing and recording a new album. You are probably extremely busy but if you would like to get in touch
my email is sarodsong@yahoo.com and cell is 310 462 6600
I am interested in lessons if you give them and am wondering if you might like to explore the sarod?

Just saw the show at Heflings. What a treat. To watch LJ play at such a close distance. I was so glad to get the tickets. Outstanding performance. I was very greatfull he did "Martha My Dear" especially since it wasn't planned. So many thanks to you LJ, my guitar gives me joy and watching you shows me what is possible. Also nice to know you're tight with your wife. A good woman gives a man balance and it sounds like you are a lucky man. God bless and hopefully I will watch you play again. But it won't be the 22nd of June, my brother gets married that day, perhaps I should suggest he delay the wedding for a day or two. Better ye, they could elope. Then again, his wife might not like the idea. Too bad his wedding is at 6PM and a 100 miles away. Drat the luck.

I caught you at the Wild Rose in Gilroy last night. I've been playing guitar for 30 years and have never seen anyone with such a command of the instrument. I was simply awestruck by your performance.
Thanks for the experience

Milwaukee and Rockford shows:
Watching LJ play guitar is akin to watching a child frolic on the playground! Laughing, jumping, skipping, dancing sometimes a swing.... sometimes a slide.... sometimes a climb on the monkey-bars. Always a smile.... always a laugh. To catch a glimpse of the 'soul' of Laurence Juber, just listen to his music. Pure expression.

Thanks for your free concert in Palo Alto at Compact Disc Land. I was simultaneously demolished in ego and inspired to practice more. Also thanks for your positive comments about Kevin Ryan. I'm even more restless in anticipation of the arrival of my instrument. Good luck on the Martin sales. I may pick one up as Kevin said mine won't be ready until July of 2003!

I saw Laurence at the Scottsdale Community College a week or so ago with a friend, we both were completely shocked by his monumental performance. Not only is Laurence a cool and vibrant personality, he gives a legendary performance to everyone there. I was blown away and the same goes for my friend. We still are talking about it almost 2 weeks later, and Im sure we both wont ever forget how truly amazing he was in concert. Thanks for coming out to AZ and hopefully you'll be back soon...Ill be checking for the dates if they ever turn out to be in AZ again!

Hi,
I saw LJ at Scottsdale Community College. Awesome!!! I have been a guitarist for about 35 years and I truly appreciate what I heard. Very uplifting! I play in DADGAD quite often, so the show was a technical treat and an inspiration for me. I loved the arrangement of Strawberry Fields. Does music notation or tab exist for this arrangement? Please let me know. Thanks again for such a great, inspiring, and spiritual concert.

Laurence - It has been fascinating to see your web page. I remember you from East Barnet Grammar - and your delicious guitar playing then (something called "Angie" I think). I was sorry to have missed your recent visit to the Bay Area. I will check in with your website and hopefully catch up with you one day.
Best wishes

I just don't understand what you are doing since you are so far beyond most musicians. You must be insane, or dsylexic. Thanks Perrah

It was a great pleasure meeting you both at Spazio's. Personally I was amazed & greatly moved by experiencing Laurence's awesome talent. (to the point of being speechless which is rare for me!) We're so happy to have been included. Terry says that Laurence did a magnificent job scoring the movie, & I look forward to hearing that and discovering some of his other CD's that we have not yet collected. I'm a professional oil painter, a realist... and I'm playing Laurence's music while I paint. His creativity is the perfect inspiration for my own. Thank you for sharing your gift, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

good day!!
just call me little John . I live in the Philippines and heard a Lot of your CD's which my cousin had bought. I was very impress by the way you express your fingerstyle & solo in guitar which lead me to learn also guitar.
I had a tab of your " yesterday " and unfortunately i lost the magazine when i transfer home . I've been asking all day & night to my wife regarding the acoustic magazine that provides your " Yesterday " tab but never found. I also ask the store if they still had this old edition of magazine, but still unfortunate. Can you pls. send me a copy of your tab regarding " yesterday " lennon-mccartney. this is the only thing i need for my private lesson. hope you mine to care. Thank you.
