Laurence, just wanted to thank you for your great playing. I met you at Beatlefest 1981, in L.A. Can you tell me if you had the first lead in "let It Be" from the "Kampuchea" album? Loved (and still do) your work on "Back to the Egg", as well as your solo work. Peace, and happy New Year. P.S. check the spelling on your first name at Wingspan.com. I sent a letter of note but no answer/change.

Laurence - Hope It was great to meet and hear you play live (finally )Laurence, and the added bonus that you guys are such nice people too. Ilsey was great, you must be really proud. Sorry, this was at the McCabes gig about a month ago now. I was the Londoner (The Hammers fan, if you remember I'd transcribed out some of your Beatles versions over the last year, so it was great to see you play them live. I really really enjoyed that evening - it was the highlight of my trip thru the States enroute to Perth WA. Hope you can make it out here sometime Take care regards Aaron Woolley

Alpha Hello LJ... some interesting stuff to shout... Traveled from Tarzana Safari Walk to South Dakoda. Ever been to a midwestern kareoke bar surrounded by corn fields? Went to the Indian casino...looked mom and popsish ya know? Like Christmass tree lights on the roof for psychadelics.... Soon I found myself headed for Richmond, VA. nice town up the west end of Broadway St. Clean bathrooms in the town known as Shortpump, a thriving suburb. Got a job at Burger King! 8.50 an hour can turn little Thai kids into princes. So I'll mail my uncle like a 50 spot and he'll live like a king for a week....(General Wichian Chupreecha)! Lots of Rusians and Japanese passing through Glen Allen, probly the college scene. John Macanroe and Mats Willander played a match! Live at VCU, I was thinking this is judgmentment day! Mad Mac is a yorker and spoke to his cronies offering condolence and character.... All the fast food'aurants got touch screens now for registers that have a wild menu system. If you learn you can burn through the commands like a flute or something. Sitting here with James DeGrandis, yes there are two capitols in his last name...(italian..the great[descendants of excellent mercinary fighters]),carefully considering what to send.... I have like 120 or so songs DAD/ADD/DDDdigital...James makes up good base lines and help me choose words for my poems like a real interactive thesaurus? Omega!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed listening to you play and answering all our questions at the Falcetti Music Mall this Sat. past. I have not stopped listening to "The Collection" CD that I purchased from you. It is truly a remarkable compilation of various styles and I am looking forward to obtaining more of your music. It is not often enough that someone of your caliber brings his or her special skills to such a small group of people. It was indeed a privelage to be there. Thank you for taking the time to answer all my questions (about the wood types) and also explaining things in terms that everyone could understand. The one question that I wish I had asked you was, after you began playing, who influenced you to take your music in the direction that you went. It seemed to me that you early influences were R & B and bluesy. How did you end up to be so jazzy and styleish? Thanks again. Keith Bodian
